This gem uses a Graph connection to enable the efficient transfer of data from multiple Dynamics Business Central objects to a designated SharePoint folder. This robust solution enhances data management, accessibility, and scalability by centralizing data from diverse Dynamics Business Central objects within the secure and collaborative SharePoint environment in the form of CSV files. The uploaded files will be named as Object_currentdate.

Setup Guide

This gem will pull the data from each Dynamics Business Central object specified in the Object List parameter. The gem will then generate a CSV file for each object and send all files to the desired SharePoint folder.

To run this gem and connect Dynamics Business Central to SharePoint, it is necessary to configure the parameters that are mentioned below.

Dynamics Business Central

  • Server Host Required. Specify the server host URL https://[Host]:[Port]/[Instance]/oDataV4.
  • Username Required. Specify the username.
  • Access Key Required. Specify the access key.
  • Company Required. Specify value in format Company('[id]').
  • Object List Required. This parameter accepts comma-separated values if you want to pull data from multiple Dynamics Business Central objects, e.g. PurchasePrices.
  • Batch Size Required. The default is set to 200.
  • Query Parameter Optional. Multiple query parameters are separated by a new line.
  • Compression Optional. The default is set to false.

Microsoft Graph

  • Server Host Required. The default is set to https://graph.microsoft.com/v1.0/sites/root when connecting to the default SharePoint instance. Set to https://graph.microsoft.com/v1.0/sites/<site-id> when connecting to a specific SharePoint instance.
  • Token File Required. Select the Rest Token file from the drop-down list. Review the аrticle mentioned here regarding how to generate the token file.
  • Destination Folder Required. Specify the path to the destination folder ending with a trailing slash.
